Based on the research, several key patterns were identified in how users search, evaluate, and purchase pet-related products and services. These insights highlight the major gaps in current platforms and guide the direction for design decisions.

Based on the research, several key patterns were identified in how users search, evaluate, and purchase pet-related products and services. These insights highlight the major gaps in current platforms and guide the direction for design decisions.

  1. No breed, age, or health filter exists. Users spend more than 40 minutes just searching for the right product because nothing feels relevant to their pet.

  1. Star ratings are meaningless without knowing the reviewer's pet. Reviews build zero confidence.

  1. 63% still visit local stores but no platform tells them if the product is in stock before they go.

  1. Users leave the app to research on YouTube and WhatsApp and many never come back.

  1. Most platforms only serve dogs and cats. Birds, fish, reptiles and small pets are completely ignored.

  1. No app connects shopping with vet advice. Users switch between multiple apps just to make one decision.
